Attention Pilots: Its time to Fly to the Bahamas!

Attention Pilots and Volunteers…the dates for the next Fly-In and Help Out Event have been set for Thursday November 6th through Sunday November 9th, 2008.

God is doing amazing things through the Bahamas Habitat and this next event promises to be a very special.

If you are not familiar with this unique opportunity for pilots, allow us to give you a quick introduction. Bahamas Habitat provides support for Christian missions in the Bahamas and coordinates opportunities for pilots and aviators to join in and participate. The Fly-In Help Out Events allow pilots to have an excellent reason to fly to the Bahamas will providing pilots that may be unfamiliar with flying to the islands to get first hand experience with assistance from the group.

Participants join in to provide transportation of supplies and equipment or just helping hands. There is time for work as well as play during the long weekend event. Participation also creates an opportunity to make your trip and contributions tax deductible as Bahamas Habitat is a recognized charitable entity. Universally everyone that has participated has said the experience was very meaningful…please read this post

In just the last month or so Bahamas Habitat has been gifted an airplane project, an entire dental clinic, and special funding for equipment at the camp. The excitement is really building!

Special invitation for all Flying Dentist…

Bahamas Habitat is the recent recipient of a donation of an entire dental clinic including the chairs and all related equipment. Part of our November Fly-In and Help Out teams will be focused on the installation of clinic equipment (assuming all goes well with the logistics). Anyone that is a flying dentist, involved in the dental field or just has a heart for medical related missions should join our group for this trip. Contact us today to advise if you can offer assistance by putting a comment on this post which will request your email and we will contact you.

We have expanded the scope of work at the camp there are many construction projects that we will be working on. We need all types of help including those that have special construction skills and just as importantly, those that don’t but that can join in and help on many other fronts including helping the organization connect with more churches for expanded youth programs, assistance with donations of equipment and funds and many other facets.
