* NEW * Children’s Home Project

We are pleased to introduce you to the Zion Children’s Home Project

Construction is underway on the Zion Children’s Home Project. Its time for you to get involved!

The The Bahamas Conference of the Methodist Church, Bahamas Methodist Haibtat and Bahamas Habitat, working with volunteers, donors, and The Government of The Bahamas are establishing a home on Current Island for abused, abandoned, and neglected children.

  • Architectural concept drawings have been prepared.
  • There will be no duty on supplies coming from the U.S.
  • The site has been donated and cleared.
  • A matching grant has been obtain to help get started.
  • Additional Funding is being sought.
  • Construction began in October 2010
  • The dedication ceremony for the project was held March 4th 2011
  • The roofs on the first two cottages were started March 2011

The First Stage is to build two dormitories. One for girls and one for boys.
The total cost of this phase is $525,000 with furnishings.
